Attempting to quit is no easy task either. However, you can quit with the right attitude, a few small changes in lifestyle, and without spending a fortune on quitting aids.

Saving Money Everyday

September 23, 2008 · 1 Comment

We see it every morning when we wake up, more bad news in the economy. It used to be that the average man didn’t really feel the rumblings of Wall Street. Those days are over it seems because everybody is feeling the sting. People are either trying to earn extra money or trying to find ways of saving money everyday. We all have to do our part to keep our heads above water. Sometimes though simple logistics keep some of us from being able to go out and get second jobs. Our alternative then is to save money everywhere we can.

We need to look at our everyday spending habits and find ways to control unnecessary spending. Something our government has never come to grips with. Could you imagine how frustrated our leaders would be if they actually pulled down a meager salary like the rest of us? It is possible though to change our way of spending without necessarily changing our lifestyle.

To start with lets start taking a look at simple things at the grocery store. If you are a person that likes bananas you will usually buy a bundle at a time. Usually there are 6 -9 on a bundle. But you are only going to eat maybe 3-4 and the rest will end up going bad. The store is charging you by the pound, so why pay for something you won’t eat. Just pull off 3-4 bananas and go. Same thing with eggs, they actually come in half dozen boxes. There is no need in paying for food that you won’t eat. Food is not the only thing to save on at the grocery store either.

Going down the personal needs aisle we come across razor blades. The really inexpensive ones don’t do a good job and the regular ones are over $10.00 for 3 razors. Invest your money in an electric razor and forget purchasing disposables every week. Something else to consider is that most of the non-food product you can probably purchase for a lot less at the dollar store rather than the grocery store. Point here is don’t purchase anything you won’t consume and find ways to spend less.

Another idea for saving money everyday is to cancel your weekly newspaper subscription. With everything being on the internet, there really is no need to have money taken out of your pocket for information you can get online. Chance are real good that your local paper has a website. Making purchases online is much easier and safer now too. You can buy just about anything online now and really you probably should. The prices are sometimes less expensive and by doing some research you may find you don’t want something after all. On top of that you save a lot of fuel costs by not going out and just shopping.

There are still other everyday things you can do to save money. Start buying rechargeable batteries for the kids’ toys. You know you spend too much on batteries that died because the toy was left on. Start planning trips to the ATM and get cash out you need for the week. Going to off bank ATM’s cost you $1 or more so just plan your week a little better. If you are a pay-per view fanatic by all means cut back. While thinking about pay-per views what about going to the movies. Saturday matinees are less expensive and less crowded.

So you see there are plenty of ways to save money everyday without sacrificing your current lifestyle. These things combined with the usual turn out the lights, turn down the thermostat, and conserving gas will add up to big savings over the next thirty days. By cutting costs you are in effect paying yourself a part-time income. See how many everyday things you can cut back on and be amazed at how much you’ll save.

Make Money Without Going Broke

September 18, 2008 · Leave a Comment

Don’t you just love all those make money at home affiliate programs. They will show you how to make thousands of dollars in a relatively short time. And all you have to do is send them 49.95 to get started. Ha!! I’m not positive, but I think a lot of people that get into those programs cannot really afford the subscription price and then make nothing. It’s a waste of their time and usually only makes the originator of the program richer. I’m not saying that all of them are scams. But the ratio of good to bad programs cannot be good.

I have done many things online to earn money. Let me tell everybody this one thing…it’s not easy. If you have a job right now keep it and work on line to supplement your income. If you are unemployed at the moment, keep looking for work…but consider what I am about to offer. I have a way for you to make money without going broke.

I have written a small pamphlet that will show you how to earn money on the internet from home without spending any money to do it.  Plain and simple I wrote out exactly what I did to make a few hundred dollars a month. Anybody can do this…anybody. Why did I write this pamphlet? I am tired of hearing about good people losing  $50 or more on a program that did not earn them a dime.  This is a step by step guide to making some money and enjoying it while you do it. Work as many or as few hours as you want.

So the offer is this..I have not published this pamphlet and I probably never will. I am selling this pamphlet outright for only $5. That’s your only investment to get what I have spelled out started. You are not going to get rich, but it will help you bring in some extra money that you don’t have now. So, Send me an email to richmondbiz@yahoo.comand put send me the pamphlet in the subject line. I will send you a paypal invoice for $5 and after receipt I will email you the pamphlet. It’s not an instant download, I will be personally emailing the pamphlet to each and every one who orders.

It’s that simple. If you need to make some extra money, then you need to get my pamphlet. Am I rich? No. But I do work from home and live a decent life. This will put money in your pocket as long as you follow the steps and put in the effort. Of course I cannot guarantee results, because only you know what you will do with the information. I will say, that if you follow the steps and put in the time, you will make extra money.

Quit Smoking Cigarettes And Live

September 13, 2008 · Leave a Comment

Coughing, hacking, short of breath, and overall bad health plaques every person that smokes cigarettes. I know this firsthand because I too was a smoker for over twenty years. I was on the fence of quit or not to quit for several years. I attempted to quit dozens of times only to smoke more each time I failed. But with persistence and willpower I finally did quit. Did you know that nicotine is NOT what millions of people are addicted to? Let me show you what helped me to finally put the cigarettes down for good.Quit Smoking Guarantee and it is mainly because they offer a money back guarantee. Also I have checked out their success rate and they are very good. Whatever way you choose to quit smoking cigarettes please for your health start soon. Your life is a gift, not a prize

I thought that nicotine was the most harmful thing in cigarettes. After doing a little research I found that nicotine was the least of my worries. There are over 4000 chemicals used in the production of cigarettes. Some of these ingredients we find naturally in our foods and they aren’t detrimental to our health. However, the other ingredients in cigarettes makes you realize you are a walking time bomb. Did you know that each cigarette you smoke contains ammonia, arsenic, benzene, butane, cyanide, DDT, formaldehyde and tar. They also contain polonium which is radioactive and causes cancer as well as methoprene which is an insecticide. That is just a small sampling of the harmful stuff we breathe into our lungs each time we take a drag off of a cigarette.

So what are your options if you don’t want to keep sucking the dirt out of your local landfill? Quit smoking cigarettes or take your chances are the only two options. With all the chemicals that are in cigarettes, you are basically playing Russian roulette with your life. I believe in taking chances in life but I also play the odds that I have a good chance of winning. I chose to quit smoking and I finally succeeded.

If you are serious about your health and want to quit smoking cigarettes now is the time. There are lots of programs out there to choose from. My personal favorite is

Profit And Life

September 8, 2008 · Leave a Comment

Cute, cuddly koala bears. Ah the icon of Australia along with the kangaroo. Such images of peaceful existence. But once again, greed is stepping in to eradicate this wonderful animal along with many others in Australia. According to a news report by the AFP, koalas are dying by the thousands along with reptiles, birds and other animals because of increased land clearing in Australia.

Land clearing is the removal of native vegetation and habitats, as well as draining of natural wetlands, to be replaced for agriculture, urban, and other land uses. The primary motivator to all this is agricultural profit. Money. In 2006 – 2007 Queensland in a statement said that 375,000 acres of bush had been cleared. A figure that one environmental group says would have killed over two million mammals, among those were 9,000 cute, cuddly, tree hugging koala bears. Those figures are based on animal density assessments in 2005 – 2006. Check out these facts found by the Australian Conservation Foundation:

*Australia has the fifth highest rate of land clearing in the world. We clear more bush each year than poverty-stricken countries like Burma, Mexico, Zimbabwe, Nigeria and the Congo.
* Australia clears land at the massive rate of over half a million hectares a year.
* The rate of land clearing is accelerating. As much land has been cleared in the last 50 years, as was cleared in the previous 150 years.
* Woodlands are Australia’s most threatened, and least protected, wooded ecosystem.
* 85% of all land clearing in Australia happens in Queensland. Victoria has lost more native vegetation than any other state, and Tasmania has the highest clearing rate in proportion to the State’s total land area.
* For every tree planted, 100 are bulldozed!

The killing off of all those wonderful animal are not the only effect either. Historically, land clearing has resulted in the extinction of 20 mammal, 12 bird, and 97 plant species. Extinction of these not just a decreasing of number. The vegetation that is untouched by the land clearing itself is affected because it’s natural borders decrease and the greater the threat from external pressures. It has also been found that past clearing of native vegetation contributed to higher temperatures, decreased rainfall and more intense droughts. The removal of vegetation damages the climate by removing shade and reducing humidity. It also contributes to global climate change by diminishing the capacity of the world’s vegetation to absorb carbon dioxide.

Unfortunately, there seems to be no agreeable alternative to land clearing. With an ever increasing world population, the necessity for areas to grow crops increases as well. Another example of the natural order and balance being thrown way out of whack. It doesn’t take much to figure out that at the rate we humans are going we are developing our way out of existence. Though the earth’s resources can regenerate, we are using it up faster than ever. And eventually, there will be nothing left to regenerate.

Conservation groups, landowners, politicians, and individuals must come together to incorporate a viable solution. We must start living in balance with our natural surroundings and resources. Failure to do so will result in the extinction of the human race. As nations fight over control and money, our fight for survival gets put to the side. I don’t feel we need to go back to living as if we were in the Dark Ages. There are solutions out there. The problem is, all of the great minds of the world are being wasted on things that in all reality won’t matter. We can send robots to Mars, take pictures of asteroids, and create atom smashers. Why can’t we come up with a viable solution to ensure our survival as a species? Is it that there is just no money to be made? Maybe it’s because no one government can control it. Perhaps nobody really thinks it will happen…human extinction. Are you willing to bet your life on that, or the life of your grandchildren?

It is time. Time for the world to come together and work out solutions to our environmental problems. Time to put action to words. Do I have the answers? No. But many minds, with many ideas do.

Create A ‘Debt Snowball’

September 6, 2008 · 1 Comment

In today’s economy it seems like it is impossible to keep our heads above water. Rising gas prices, rising groceries prices, rising unemployment, and unsteady wages make getting out of debt difficult. There is a relatively new concept coming out, or resurfacing, that just may be the solution you are looking for.

Common sense tells us that once we have our debts calculated we should pay off the principle on the highest interest debt first and work down from that point. ‘Debt Snowballing’ takes a much different approach, and I can tell you first hand…it works

Debt snowballing is where you put the most cash you can towards the smallest debt while paying the bare minimums on all your other debts. When that debt is paid off you roll over that payment onto the next smallest debt on your list. Keep repeating or “snowballing” this technique over and over and you will get your debts paid off without creating unnecessary stress on yourself. No need to add on extra debt by taking out loans this either.

The first thing that you need to do is organize your debts on a spreadsheet or piece of paper. Beside each creditor put the total amount owed along with the amount of the minimum payment. For illustration purposes lets say that you have six creditors with a combined minimum payment of $1000. Now take as much cash as you can and apply it to the smallest bill first while still maintaining the minimum payments on the other five. Soon that smaller debt will be paid and now you can work on the next smallest debt using the money you were paying on the first. Again keep repeating this until all your debts are paid.

Another thing to think about is extra money. We get extra or unexpected money from time to time. Take that extra income and apply it to your snowball. This will help you get your debts paid off even quicker. The key to all of this is self discipline. Sure it would be nice to take the extra money and treat yourself now, but applying this technique you can pay off your debts quicker and treat yourself many times over when that happens.

I hope this helps somebody out there or at least gives you hope. Being in debt is no fun. But there is a way out without adding more undue stress on an already stressful time. Good luck.
